Godzone Sport Horses NZ is a boutique horse stud based in the sunny Eastern Bay of Plenty in the North Island of New Zealand.
We specialise in breeding high performance showjumpers, however, the lines used mean our horses would excel in most disciplines and levels. Our goal is to breed good-natured, versatile athletes who are happy and bring their humans joy!
Breeding low numbers means that our babies get extra attention and are truly members of the family. I personally feed out to all the horses twice a day and hold them for the farrier.

My small band of broodmares are a beautiful mix of warmbloods and tall show quality thoroughbreds who can boogie.
We use a combination of outside and resident stallions. Stallions are selected for their good nature, athleticism, brains, good looks and size.

I have always found pricing young horses difficult. Who doesn't love a bargain right?
It is always a balancing act between meeting the market, trying to cover the costs to produce the horse as well as finding the perfect home where the horse will thrive and hopefully be enabled to reach his or hers full potential.
Costs for boutique breeders are high, no bulk discounts for us! We are the little guys who work full time to pay the bills. If there is a shred of profit from a sale, it is never enough to cover the upkeep nor future breeding costs. We do what we do for the love of it and our partners and friends think we are nuts.
Instead of setting prices for my youngsters, I have added a price guide as the prices change over time. Even when I set prices for horses people always expect to negotiate as do I when I am horse shopping.

I am happy to discuss payment plans which include a contract and the horse being insured at the purchasers cost.
